Recruiters read your GitHub, not your certificates
The QuantumVector Team · May 2026
Every DevOps candidate has certificates now. They've stopped being a signal. What still cuts through is evidence — a public trail of things you actually built and shipped.
What a strong portfolio looks like
- A real CI/CD pipeline with a readable Jenkinsfile or workflow
- Infrastructure defined in Terraform, not clicked together in a console
- A Kubernetes deployment with monitoring wired in
- A README that explains the "why", not just the "how"
Make every project count
The trick is to end every topic you learn with something committed to GitHub. Learned Docker? Push a multi-stage build. Learned Prometheus? Push a dashboard-as-code repo.
By the time you're job-hunting, your GitHub is your resume — and it's answering the interviewer's questions before they even ask them.
